The adage: 'Work Smarter Not Harder', is quite common in management mindsets. 

Why is it that we persist in trying to get smarter in order to make work life easier? When will we out-smart ourselves? Why not try and simplify things, the pressures of work life should get easier by default. 

Along with an attitude of encouraging creativity without fear of retribution, we should encourage managers and employees to think logically and continually challenge the status quo with the question, "I this the simplest and most logical way of achieving our goal?"
