• Is the problem identifiable by name and 'owned' by an employee who fully accepts responsibility?
• Is there a written definition of the problem?
• Are all associated people and resources identified?
• Are the customers concerned identified and their requirements specified?
• Are the suppliers concerned identified and your requirements specified?
• Are the process steps identified and specified?
• Are adequate control points in place?
• Does the process incorporate the customer's measures of success/failure?
• Is the process performance measurable? Does data feedback get used for improvement planning?
