Put yourself in the customer's position, isn't it impressive to see a wall of framed testimonials, photos of major accomplishments, magazine articles about your organisation, and customer letters of thanks. Perhaps show an organisational history, how your company has grown over the years as a result of your many achievements. Doesn't it feel good to be associated with a successful organisation?
Many suppliers present awards for excellent performance, some of those plaques are very impressive.
You should have a company Mission Statement … well you ought to! Often you'll find this printed professionally, framed nicely and put in a prominent position in the foyer. It's interesting to read the Mission Statements of other organisations.
Now that you have sold your company to the strangers walking in the door, what about your own employees? Make copies, do the same inside the office. They also want to feel part of a successful progressive organisation. What harm could it do? Make them feel
good?
